1 Energy-saving transformation plan overview
Operator data center computer rooms generally face problems such as high energy consumption of air conditioners, high heat density of equipment, and insufficient space in computer rooms and cabinets. In order to solve the high energy consumption of the air conditioner in the data computer room and the rising heat dissipation demand of the computer room, solve the problems of local heat islands inside the computer room, direct mixing of cold air and hot air, and large waste of cooling capacity. This plan focuses on the closed cold passage of the computer room and the transformation technology of the fluorine pump.
2. Energy-saving transformation plan – closed cold aisle
The airflow organization of traditional data centers is disordered, hot and cold air is channeling, precision air-conditioning and air-conditioning cannot be effectively used, and energy consumption in data centers remains high. Because the cold area is open, not all the cold air passes through the communication equipment, and the cooling and air volume sent by the air conditioner cannot be effectively used to fully exchange with the heat generated by the communication equipment, resulting in invalid cooling power, increased energy consumption and easy High temperature or localized overheating occurs. Advantages: the project implementation is simple, the construction period is short, and the environment of the existing computer room is little changed,
Disadvantages: The energy-saving effect is not as good as that of closed cold channel.
Effect: After the transformation, each cabinet can supply air as needed. According to the different conditions of each machine room, the air conditioner will be shut down by about 20%. After the test and comparison before and after the transformation, the annual power saving of the air conditioner will be more than 25%.
Transformation cost: 4500 yuan per cabinet transformation cost (including closed cabinet door+air duct transformation+engineering auxiliary materials+construction), verified according to the actual number of cabinets to be transformed
2.2 Closed cold channel
The cold channel refers to the building in the cabinet room or inside the cabinet, which is specially limited to the cooling of the cabinet equipment. It can be completely isolated from the ambient hot air in the machine room and limit the cold air in the cabinet. It can avoid the mixing of hot and cold air, limit the cooling effect of cooling equipment, improve the utilization rate of cold air, and improve the cooling efficiency and cooling effect of the machine room

The sealing wool with good sealing property is used between the door frame and the side plate, which not only keeps the beauty, but also prevents the cold air leakage of the cold channel.

The cold passage door and roof are made of cold-rolled steel plate and tempered glass, which are nonflammable and non-combustion-supporting, meet the fire protection requirements and have high safety.

The system is composed of toughened glass with strong light transmittance, and is designed based on the principle of two module frames of no less than 10cm, which increases the light transmittance

The roof of the cold channel adopts the overturning design, and is linked with the fire control through the intelligent control box. When the fire signal is received, the roof automatically opens, and the fire gas enters the channel to extinguish the fire without conflict with the existing fire control system.

1. The cold channel monitoring technology limits the cold air to the small environment of the cabinet. The cold air must be released to the machine room through the cabinet to achieve air circulation, which is conducive to the heat dissipation of all equipment in the cabinet, and can completely solve the problem of local overheating in the cabinet;
2. The cold channel monitoring technology completely isolates the hot and cold gases, improves the return air temperature, solves the dilemma of low ambient temperature of the machine room and high temperature of the cabinet equipment, avoids the ineffective operation of the air conditioner, and improves the cooling efficiency and cooling effect;

Transformation cost: each two rows of cabinets form a cold channel, and the transformation cost is about 4800USD (closed cold channel components+closed cold channel doors+air duct reconstruction+engineering auxiliary materials+construction). The cost is verified according to the actual number of cabinets to be transformed.
Note: The closed cold channel itself does not include the refrigeration system, cabinet, monitoring, power supply system, etc., but only the cold channel components and doors
3. Energy-saving transformation plan – renovation of air conditioning fluorine pump
1. Introduction to fluorine pump principle
The fluorine pump technology adopts Chengdu Hop’s 6th generation fluorine pump natural cooling technology, which can make full use of outdoor natural cooling sources and reduce energy consumption of air conditioning units. Through the application of fluorine pump technology, multiple refrigeration operation modes (compressor mode, pump mode and dual power mode) of compressor refrigeration and fluorine pump system refrigeration can be realized in the same refrigeration system. The fluorine pump transformation has high technical content and can be implemented quickly. The main transformation contents are as follows:
(1) Outdoor copper pipe
A set of fluorine pump module needs to be added near the outdoor unit side to connect and install with the original refrigeration pipeline system.
(2) Indoor unit pipeline
At the indoor unit side, it is necessary to adjust the existing compressor pipeline system, and replace the original thermal expansion valve with the electronic expansion valve with more intelligent regulation capacity and wider regulation range. The new intelligent control system realizes intelligent integrated control.
(3) Controller part
Through the new upgrade of the old control system, the fully intelligent, more accurate and more efficient control is realized, and the air conditioning in the machine room is safe and energy-saving.
3. Obvious effect
According to long-term data calculation and actual use, the annual energy saving rate of the air conditioner is about 15% after the fluorine pump transformation of the air conditioner, and the energy saving effect is good.
